## The Information Center
On the left third of the app, the Information Center is located. Here all relevant information can be seen at once.
The first big Label with the speedometer icon shows the speed. The Unit of the speed and the distance can be set in the [Settings](settings).
Below that is the trip data. A trip is used to log a certain amount of time. Logging is further described in the [Logging](logging) section of this wiki.
The next labels between the trip and the buttons at the bottom is the engine data. These are received via Bluetooth which is explained in detail [here](bt).
The navigation row at the bottom of the Information Center helps the user to get to different pages.
- Settings Button leads to the [Settings](settings).
- The screen icon hides/shows the [Music Player](musicplayer)
- The bug icon is used to show the [Debug Page](debug)
- The information icon guides the user to the [Information Page](info)

## The Map
The map is the center piece of the app. It takes up the most space to have the best orientation. The map updates the user location whenever it can. Furthermore the map can be rotated and move at the users will.
It also has some features that can be useful:
1. The map type can be set in the [Settings](settings). So the user can have a regular, a satellite or a hybrid, a mixture of both map types.
The hybrid map type is especially useful because the user can see all the points of interest without loosing the ability to know exactly what comes up ahead.
2. The map can be oriented in different ways.
1. It can be **oriented to North**. This can be achieved by taping the compass in the top
right corner of the map
2. It can be **oriented in any direction but still following the user**. This can be achieved
by tapping the center button in the bottom right corner once. If the arrow background is blue
and the arrow is facing into the top right corner of its box, that means the user will be
followed without rotating the map.
3. It can be **oriented in the same direction the user is facing**. The user can set this
mode by tapping the center button again so that the arrow faces to the center of its border,
with a little line on top. That means the map follows the users position as well as the
direction he is going.
3. The map also shows a scale when zooming in or out to give the user a feel of distances showd in it |
